KIngston Messabout Invitation
by Bruce Hector

Despite dastardly rumours to the contrary, the 2005 Kingston, Ontario Messabout is going ahead as planned.

Details at https://www.brucesboats.com including maps, schedules, photos of some floating exhibits who've confirmed their attendence and other ramblings.

I'll be there Friday eve, 9 September, approx 6 pm to whenever the wine runs out at the ever popular Wine & Cheese Meet and Greet. Bring a bottle of your favorite poison and a chunk of cheese or other appropriate snack.

Saturday, 10 Sept. will be general Messabouting til near sundown, when we'll re-enact the '03 Pot Luck Dinner. Bring your choice of tucker (food) and crates (beer, pop, wine, kool aid, etc) and be prepared to share!

General chatting, conversing and listenin' to Peter Lenihan's lies to follow the din din, until the last sleepy Messabouter trundles off to bed while Lenihan and I bore each other to tears. "Have you heard the one about the talking dog for sale?" and "No Captain, but I've been blown ashore!"

Sunday, instead of a pot luck beah-front breakfast, anyone who wishes can congregate at the nearest greasy spoon for Canadian Bacon, (actually all bacon here is Canadian, and we call Cdn Bacon-Peameal Bacon just to fool everyone) eggs and anything except gits, "cause they ain't any up her'n in de' north! sailor!".

Sunday: Diehard Messabouters can messabout to their hearts content as the multitude pack their tents, bags and boats and head off into the sunset.
