I did a topsail schooner prototype today. I mentioned I had one on the
drawing board. Based it on the Harvey Gamage schooner used as a
classroom boat in Boston.

I used a club footed jib to simulate a bow sprit without having to
attach one. I first tried to design the rig around the existing deck holes
for the sharpie, but couldn't pull that off.
Anyway - she sailed really well, though I had to use three keels. I think
doubling up the washer weights would allow me to stay with 2 keels.
