Glass Bottomed Boat
My wife and I wanted to see fish and such
on the clear water lakes of northern Michigan, so I decided to build a
little glass-bottomed rowing kindof thing. Being an accomplished
woodworker and inventor of exotic laminates (see
www.johnblazy.micronpcweb.com) I knew I could turn this into a real
involved project -- and resisted, but eventually, the little boat yelled
out in a hollywood sort of way "Resistance is Futile ! ! !". You see, I
built this thing within the the previous two weeks of last years vacation
with some scratch - resistant Lexan for the "glass bottom", some bending
plywood, PL Premium and ten year old West System, and a tractor innertube
for bouyancy
