Here are a few shots of the completed River Runner18 and launch. It was launched this past Saturday on the Fox River.
This boat clips along very well with just a 2-1/2hp motor. It surprised everyone how little power was actually required to move this craft.
A little over half throttle, the boat peaks out at about 5 1/2mph. Set the throttle at barely over idle and the boat will move about 4mph. I think that one could run around all weekend with the built in pint gas supply.
The boat spins on a dime using the oars and is very maneuverable despite its length. The short oars worked well. This boat will be a wonderful craft for float fishing.
Note part of my "Jonsboat" appears in a photo or two. I used it as the chase and rescue boat.
