Sunnyside Cruiser

Developed by Walter Dean in 1910 for use in the Lake Ontario waters off Sunnyside Beach, Toronto, this fast, efficient cruiser often doubled as a "girling" canoe.  It was so popular that it soon accounted for 90 percent of Dean's business.  Narrow, with plumb sides and a shallow vee hull, it cuts through flatwater neatly.

Graceful yet jaunty, it has the "Dean" elevated decks with a coaming to sweep aside spray.  Advertised as "the handsomest canoe in the world,  " it is the ultimate in a luxurious, easy-paddling recteational canoe.
